La Guinguette Électrique - Neo folk / Afro / Kompa
Free outdoor • No reservation required • 18h-00h • Refreshments and food
Nebraska Jones, a duo of multi-instrumentalist musicians, open the Guinguette ball with a set inspired by American folk songs. And exceptionally, for a song or two, they'll be joined by a group of hip-hop-loving teenagers from MJC Parmentier. A guaranteed surprise for this project, which began in April, where a succession of writing sessions and rehearsals re-orchestrate the original tracks, integrating the flow of two rappers as well as an extra guitar, drums and keyboard. Through the practice of music, this small, heterogeneous group tames itself to propose an unexpected aesthetic mix, where the familiar notes of American folk mingle with the vibrant energy of urban hip-hop.
This "augmented concert" project was made possible thanks to the Fonds d'encouragement aux initiatives artistiques et culturelles des amateurs supported by the French Ministry of Culture.

Djihaïz and Mélopé together form La Kombinaison , an Afro-Caribbean duo.
A combination of Comoros and Martinique, Africa and the Caribbean.
A Kombination of styles, between Dancehall, Drill, Afro, Trap and languages: Creole, Comorian, French and English.
It's through this blend that the duo find their identity and originality.
And to perfect this formula, they are accompanied on stage by producer, musician and beatmaker Young Seph.

The eight musicians came together in 2017 around Kompa Caraïbéen to give audiences the chance to hear again this warm, airy musical genre that has Haiti, the French West Indies, Central America and the African suburbs dancing. With backgrounds in jazz, Afro-Cuban and Colombian music, street art... they share a passion for this musical style, which is currently little represented on national stages.
Kompa Doudou Chéri pays tribute to the founding fathers of this music, rediscovering hits from the 60's to the 80's, as well as original compositions inspired by the great Haitian and Martinican bands, in a show that ignites audiences of all ages.
The festive "retro" Kompa repertoire is a blend of traditional Haitian music, meringue from the Dominican Republic, calypso from the English West Indies, Cuban salsa and jazz.
Kompa Doudou Chéri invites you to sing, dance and unite the crowds on brassy tones and frenzied rhythms, and is a must-see!
