Bricologie

A DIY musician, Nicolas Bras invites and invents traditional instruments from unusual materials in a hybrid show between lecture, performance and concert.

Nicolas Bras creates an imaginary folklore around his DIY instruments, and opens a playfully pointed window on organology and acoustics by giving life to plastic pipes and other skilfully diverted salvaged objects.

A hybrid show between lecture, performance and concert, for a musician accompanied by his 48 original DIY instruments.

Open to all, ages 7 and up

Grenoble Reggae Orchestra

The Grenoble Reggae Orchestra (GRO) is a collective that has been working since 2011 to rediscover and share reggae through the organization and management of “organized jams”, events halfway between a classic open stage (jam) and a concert. After four editions bringing together over 100 musicians on the Belle Électrique's main stage (“La Belle envoie du GRO” in 2016, 2018, 2019 and 2023), for the first time GRO is bringing musicians and the public together at the Guinguette Électrique!

GRO presenters, both professional musicians and passionate amateurs, aim to bring this hugely popular music to life by exploring its repertoire - from the Skatalites to Groundation via Bob Marley, Steel Pulse, Jah9 or Fat Freddy's Drop - and performing it in XL format, with over ten different musicians on stage for each track.

Via its “in-house” digital platform, GRO allows participants to register for the jam in advance, specifying the instrument played and the track(s) chosen. Ten days or so before the event, GRO is able to communicate a precise schedule for the jam, ensuring an artistic direction that guarantees a mix of musicians and an escalating show.
