MESSAGE FROM PRODUCTION (WART)
We regret to inform you that Miossec's 2024 tour has to be definitively cancelled. The artist, with whom we have been working since last March, has informed us of the need for a long restorative break. We are therefore obliged to work on the cancellation of all dates. We wish him all the best for his recovery, and hope he'll be back on the road with us soon. In the meantime, thank you for your understanding and patience.
Ticketing refunds will be processed automatically. If you have any questions concerning this date or a refund that has not been received within 30 days, please contact us at the following e-mail address: accueil.billetterie@la-belle-electrique.com. Thank you for your patience.
Christophe Miossec presents Simplifier, his 12th intense and inspired album, made at home, almost by himself, between Brest and Locmaria-Plouzané (Finistère). A touching and striking return to his personal "prehistory", where he pays his respects to those who have marked him.
Simplifier: the title of the album came to me as a matter of course, at the beginning of the mixing, as if this verb contained the mission.
Simplifier: Paul Le Galle, sound engineer and Alexis Delong, producer, mixer, musician, my apple, and that's it, on this record.
Simplifier: that means locking yourself away, alone, for a few months, and composing songs with guitars, bass and rhythms. To have them all together, like before "Boire", whose anniversary tour was taking place at the same time.
Simplifier: and thus to impose constraints. Like the one to make the tracks come out of a single drum machine, a 1969 Elka Drummer One, not to be vintage, just to have simple, warm impulses and placements.
Simplifier: listen to a lot of hip-hop, play few chords, cut bridges, remove verses. Make them pick up. And from the songs recorded with Paul, let Alexis get into the pieces, and take them, sometimes elsewhere.
Simplifier: work at home, and ask Nathalie Bihan, a graphic designer from Brest, and Vincent Gouriou, a photographer from Brest, to follow the verb.
Simplifier: not to look poor, or miserable. To simplify and not to forbid anything, the flights as well as the restraints.
