A few days after unveiling her new single "Me Da Igual", L'impératrice announces the first dates of an international tour in autumn 2024!

In this heralding track, we sense the glow of clubs and sleepless nights, strobe lights and disco balls, afterimages forever imprinted on our bodies and heads. The glimmer of the French Touch, which lit up the world of pop and electro with virtuosity and elegance, and made the Empress dance as a teenager. Today, they are the driving force behind the sound of L'Impératrice.

Three years ago, Tako Tsubo, a swaying dissection of a heart swayed by its emotions, took the group around the world. Mexico, the United States, Europe... By confronting other languages, other points of view and other territories, L'Impératrice has enriched its own, and broken down its borders once and for all.

In English of course, Please is a polite injunction to listen more closely to love at twenty, the torments of adulthood and the hope that resists, on a soundtrack that makes you dance while you cry. Going against the grain of minimalist pop, the arrangements that have since fleshed out each of their compositions exude the warmth of pressed records, and create a dimension in which Harry Styles would be a member of Fleetwood Mac. In 2021, they packed up a truckload of old gear and headed off for a two-week exile in Normandy to record the music they'd always dreamed of.

Please have recently joined the ranks of Universal Music Publishing France for an exclusive publishing deal. In 2019, they recorded “Time To Spare”, a five-track debut EP that exalts the '70s, the too-hot Julys and their disappointing idylls.

In 2022, they released “Fun and Games”, a track that plays out before the dramatic tension, a moment of reverie for which the viewer has paid his cinema ticket. “Fun and Games” conveys the experience of those moments of grace that we live through without realizing their importance, or their inevitable end. With its resolutely pop melody, it embodies this fleeting insouciance, immediately caught up by the radical groove and organic arrangements that rekindle Benny And The Jets, with the extravagance of BØRNS and the rock energy of Supergrass.

Produced by Max Baby (Kirin J Calinan, Hannah Jadagu, Ichon...), this second EP shapes PLEASE's sound more precisely, enriching it with more modern textures in its production, recalling in some respects the new wave of Prefab Sprout, the more pop refrains of Daryl Hall & John Oates. This 5-track record is the first outline of a debut album that will undoubtedly be the follow-up to 'Flashlight'.
