Masterclass Techno w/ Vel

On the occasion of her live techno performance at La Belle Électrique, we invite you to a masterclass with Vel, a young Moroccan artist, DJ, electronic music producer and engineer based in Lyon.
The first part of this meeting will look back at her career, from her discovery of Lyon's nightlife to her numerous performances in venues and clubs around the world.
The second part will focus on Vel's musical productions, and she will present several tracks from her repertoire. The perfect opportunity to share her working methods and artistic approach.

When she left her native Rabat for Lyon at the age of 18, Vel was studying to become an engineer. But one night turned her life upside down: she discovered techno music for the first time at Le Sucre, and it was love at first sight. Her passion for club culture led to the creation of her own band, where she allowed herself to grow and become Vel. Rhythmic, textured techno, the artist's sound radiates through drums she summons from her memories, heavenly whispers and fragile voices: the divine feminine emanates from every pulsating vibration she emits. During her sets, Vel knows no gender limits, and is always ready to hit hard, defying borders and BPMs.
