Jérémy Frerot
A waking dreamer, Jérémy Frerot loves utopias, potential ideas and their fulfillment. Sincere and moving, his music is the fruit of a quest for balance and a creative process free of artifice. Melancholy and self-mockery meet in weightless counterpoint. At a time when more and more music is made using software, making the presence of instrumentalists incidental, Jérémy Frerot is part of a new scene of French musicians capable of navigating electro and synth-pop as much as they do through sparse orchestration and organic sounds, giving the delightful sensation of listening to live music.
After six successful years as part of the star duo Frero Delavega, in 2017 Jérémy Frerot went solo and made a name for himself with a debut album, Matriochka (2018), followed by Meilleure vie (2021), certified gold, and songs tackling sensitive themes, such as ecology and respect for the ocean, a passion for this artist who lives by the Atlantic. Since then, he has been churning out hits with the regularity of a metronome.
For two years, far from the airwaves and concert halls, he took the time to reflect on his life, make important choices and let his pen run wild.
