Heavenly Sweetness

The Heavenly Sweetness label, which has been based in the Vercors region for a number of years, is coming down to Grenoble to celebrate its 15th anniversary. After the Jazz café in London, and Nancy Jazz Pulsation, it's the Belle éléctrique that opens its doors to welcome the label's artists. The third and final anniversary evening is not to be missed: first, the almost local of the stage, Lyon's Pat Kalla, and his band Super Mojo, will be on stage to present their newly-released album "Belle Terre", followed by new signings Souleance, who will take to the stage with their live band version, featuring funky infrabass, Brazilian, Turkish and even Reunion Island vocals. It's impossible not to dance to their music.

And last but not least, Guts, the label's long-standing artist, will take to the decks for a DJ set of his own, a grand voyage through the most exciting music on our blue... and musical... planet.

For a long time, you had to turn over the record sleeves and peel back the credits to read his name. Arranger, producer, composer, even when he's at the forefront of his albums, Guts prefers to remain in the shadows to let the music shine.

Beatmaker for French hip hop in the mid-90s, it was still guided by loops and samples that he became a solo artist the following decade. In the early 90s, Guts signed his first productions on samplers. Thirty years later, between record crates, dance floors and the studio with his musicians, he has created a loop that feeds itself almost perpetually. After all, you can't do it over again.

Souleance live

The SOULEANCE dj/producer duo invite Vincent Choquet (DBFC) on keyboards and Guillaume Rossel (Rachid Taha, La Rayure) on drums for this new formula. Fulgeance returns to his preferred instrument: the bass, without forgetting the bass-synth and precise beat-making that are the project's strength. Soulist, at the turntables, hotter than ever, brings that unique freshness by sublimating the project's samples.

The result is an explosive quartet, pushing duo hits to the extreme of funk and soul. A new SOULEANCE experience that brings more freestyles, more improvisation and more sensations, still influenced by Brazilian, African and worldwide music.

Pat Kalla and his Super Mojo are renowned for the effectiveness of their power to lighten the strictest of faces and loosen the most numb of muscles, and have proven themselves on stage as a natural propagator of boiling, feverish vibrations. With Belle Terre, they reveal a new, unsuspected power.

Produced by Guts, Belle Terre, the 3rd album from Pat Kalla and his Super Mojo, may also cause a few psychedelic disturbances in the most receptive subjects. If this is the case, then the full potential has been unleashed.

Doors open : 5 minutes before the start of the concert.
