Call for entries - 40 guitars on a drunken boat - Grenoble/Chambéry - 2024

Organized by GSUBI/Chef Menteur (Lyon) La Belle Électrique (Grenoble) and APEJS (Chambery)

"100 guitares sur un bateau ivre" is an evolving project created by Gilles Laval in 2017, initially composed for 100 electric guitars, inspired by Arthur Rimbaud's poem "Le bateau ivre". This "eco-poetic" musical creation, composed of 7 parts around the theme of the ocean, can be declined differently, reinvented, with each new re-creation.
For this new stopover, we propose to embark 40 guitarists, 20 from Grenoble and 20 from Chambéry, on a new adventure.
The two groups will join forces in June 2024 for a concert in Chambéry followed by a concert in Grenoble.
Rehearsals will take place from January to June, interspersed with web conferences for exchanges between participants. The Learning Center (https://gsubi.com/learn) is available to all to facilitate learning. The detailed project schedule will be available on our website.
