Born in the Lyon region in 1996, Pomme discovered music as a child and began writing her first songs as a teenager. After making her debut on stages in Lyon and Paris, she released En cavale (2016), followed by her first album, À peu près, in 2017. With Les Failles (2019), she established herself on the French music scene and won two Victoires de la Musique awards, before continuing her journey with Consolation (2022) and Saisons (2024).

At age thirty, she begins a new chapter with la forteresse (2026), her fifth album, for which she serves as sole artistic director for the first time. Composed in Kyoto, the United States, and France, the album draws heavily on her work on Peau d’homme, an adaptation of the graphic novel by Zanzim and Hubert, in which Pomme plays the role of Blanche. During this experience, she kept two diaries—her own and that of her character—which provided the material for the album.

Conceived as a fable, la forteresse becomes a metaphor: that of a place that protects as much as it confines. The album unfolds in four chapters: childhood, love and trauma, crossing the wall, and finally liberation and arrival on the other side, in the present. Pomme blends organic materials with synthetic textures, minimalism with lyricism, to evoke loneliness, exhaustion, the symbolic transition into her thirties, and ecological anxiety.
