A Musical Story with Projected Images

OiZo is a musical, poetic, illustrated, and animated journey created by the Fusées collective, in which characters appear one after another as the scenery changes: by the sea, in the mountains, on the plains, in a garden…

OiZo is also the journey of a child holding his grandmother’s hand. A hand he leans on to go find his bird. This projected musical tale transports us through hand-drawn illustrations, a video projector, and a hand that brings them to life: the drawings appear as the story unfolds. The story is narrated, told, and sung by Marie Boiton (visual artist), Marielle Imbert (musician), and Simon Pochet (musician). Here, we blend visual art, sound design, accordion, and song.

Through this story, the bird becomes a symbol of peace and joy. Its song heralds sunny days, and it also embodies a dream of freedom. Yet the bird is now threatened: in fifteen years, nearly a third of birds have disappeared from our environments. The story aims to restore the bird’s place in our lives, our cities, and our schools. It invites children to listen closely, to pay attention to the bird, and, in doing so, to grow attached to its presence and to care for it.

To shift perspectives, challenge conventions, and surprise, in order to view the bird as a symbol of the longing for freedom and each individual’s ability to choose their own path, while caring for the group and its environment.

Two performances: 10:45 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Opening hours : Wednesday to Friday, 10am to 1am, and Saturday from 4pm, but also from 6pm if a concert is scheduled.

Doors open : 1 hour before the start of the concert.
