Lescop's return with this third album is like the unstoppable reinvention of French new wave. This natural child of rock and punk has rediscovered a sense of intimate rebellion after weathering a few inner storms of rare intensity. It's as if today he's reconnecting with the very essence of the candor (both dark and joyful) of his first hit "La forêt" ... where he allowed a whole generation eager for new meaning and sounds to dance on the hot coals of a hybridization that is the identity of French pop today. Working in tandem with producer Thibault Frisoni, Lescop has built his pop edifice of 13 luminous songs around the theme of mutation, love and rebirth. The incandescent, uncompromising voices of Izia, Halo Maud and Laura Cahen shine through. Where the power of Ash Workman's mixing suddenly gives a natural light to the record, where Brighton becomes a Balearic destination... While the poetic imprint of Pasolini rubs shoulders with those of Bob Dylan, Etienne Daho, or Daniel Darc, a majestic trilogy of inspiration that attests to a return to the very essence of pop. Lescop has entitled his third album "rêve parti". In 13 hauntingly magnetic songs, he succeeds in convincing us that it is still possible to reinvent the dream in all its utopian force.

Albert Newton is a Franco-British project created by Paris-based Henry de Montbazon.
After a first EP "Bedroom Posters (*Spring)" released in 2020, Henry met researchers in quantum mechanics and other astrophysics enthusiasts who opened his eyes to the reality and beauty of the scientific world we live in. These encounters will be a major source of inspiration for the writing of his debut album 'Twin Earth' (scheduled for release on February 9, 2024 on Byebye records).© Julia Poncin
