What if all of this were just a romantic comedy? That’s the question that comes to mind when listening to Edouard Bielle’s songs. Through melodies he aims to make accessible and catchy, he transports us into his world—one that lies halfway between the polished aesthetic of the ’70s and his caustic take on everyday life. On his debut EP, *Loverdose*, released in October 2023 on Cracki Records, he opens up unreservedly—with lightheartedness and sincerity—about the different facets of his life, which is often punctuated by love stories.

Among the tracks on this debut EP, singles like “Parikía,” “Je t’oublie déjà,” and “Loverdose” have quickly become anthems sung in unison at all his concerts—notably at the Label’s POPUP, at Point Ephémère, and at La Maroquinerie on February 14, 2024—all of which were sold out and electric. That’s the strength of Edouard Bielle’s project: a high-pitched, powerful voice that strikes right at the heart. Media outlets like FIP, Les Inrocks, and Tsugi were certainly right to bet on him, as were other artists—such as Johan Papaconstantino, Clara Luciani, and Feu! Chatterton—who invited Edouard to open for them on several dates of their tours in France.
