PRESENTATION OF A CULTURAL PROJECT

This project was initiated and funded by the Communauté de communes du Grésivaudan and the Department of Isère.
The project
La Belle Électrique is thrilled to partner this season with the Communauté de communes du Grésivaudan and the Department of Isère to bring a new, ambitious project to life.
Two bands from Grenoble (Astroficus and Sumac Dub) were invited to share their musical world with nearly a hundred students from the region. Together, they have worked on reinterpreting several of their songs… culminating in an extraordinary augmented concert!
Astroficus will be accompanied by an ensemble formed especially for the occasion, consisting of fourteen students playing wind instruments, guitars, and keyboards.
For Sumac Dub, nearly forty students will provide the string and choral arrangements, along with one student specializing in computer-assisted music.
Join us on Saturday, April 18, at the Espace Bergès in Villard-Bonnot to experience this extraordinary concert!

Fusing Afrobeat, calypso, R&B, and rap, and drawing on influences from the Indian Ocean, ASTROFICUS unleashes a vibrant, solar-like musical energy that evokes a cathartic need to dance and joyfully celebrate our diverse identities.
Sumac Dub
Throughout his career, Sumac has distinguished himself through his artistic vision and recognizable style within the French Electro scene.
Following his latest album "Norska", an exploration at the edge of known lands (inspired by La Horde du Contrevent by Damasio), Sumac embarked on a bold musical journey, gradually departing from familiar paths to create something new, something more personal.
Four years later, the artist returns with his new album "Lyrae", a complete and accomplished work that explores memory, legacy, and our relationship with the past, present, and future, drawing the listener back to their own sense of finitude in the face of time.
