The sound of Up Tight on the turntable
This could be the soundtrack to a night out in some legendary club in New York, Detroit or Chicago, in the heart of the 60s and 70s. The UP TIGHT dj's draw on the sources of rock, ska and soul, and summon the tutelary figures of Stax, Motown and other mythical English labels, consistent in their filiation: black music, so crassly rebellious, sublimely anti-establishment, powerfully danceable.©DR
