To develop a music project, it is essential to understand copyright and the steps needed to protect and monetize your works. Moral rights, economic rights, royalty distribution, and music publishing are all important concepts to master when building an artistic career. Fabien Salzi will share his expertise to help you better understand the issues related to copyright and guide you through the process of registering with SACEM.
On the agenda:
History and principles, moral rights and economic rights, DEP and DRM revenue streams, SACEM registration procedures, pre-registration with Music Start, declaration of distribution keys for works and submission of works, program declarations, power of attorney and representation agreements, publishers and publishers acting on behalf of authors...

Fabien Salzi
Throughout his career, Fabien Salzi has held a variety of roles: record store clerk at Fnac Lyon Bellecour, producer and manager for Tit’Nassels, label manager at Label Délivrance, sound engineer at Studio d’Étables, educational coordinator for the Trans’Abattoirs program, videographer at Micro Macro, and co-founder of the Federation of Artist Developers and Managers. Drawing on his diverse experiences, he offers a practical and insightful perspective on the relationships between artists and their partners, as well as the challenges facing the industry.
