Chameleons

Formed in Manchester in 1981, The Chameleons made their mark on the 1980s with three albums: Script of the Bridge (1983), What Does Anything Mean? Basically? (1985) and Strange Times (1986), before splitting up in 1987. Renowned for their atmospheric guitar work and poignant lyrics, the band is often regarded as one of the most underrated acts on the Manchester scene of that era.

Original members Mark Burgess and Reg Smithies reformed Chameleons in 2021. Over the years, their popularity has continued to grow, leading them to share the stage with bands such as U2, Killing Joke, Bauhaus, Simple Minds, Talk Talk and The Cure. The band defines itself first and foremost as a ‘live act’, renowned for intense and emotionally charged performances.

In 2024, they released their first single in over a decade, “Where Are You”, released on Metropolis Records in collaboration with Strange Times Entertainment.

Arctic Moon is their first full-length studio album in over twenty years, and the first with the current line-up: Vox (Mark Burgess), Reg Smithies, Stephen Rice, Danny Ashberry and Todd Demma. The album features seven new tracks, including a version of “Where Are You?” and “Saviours Are A Dangerous Thing”, whilst offering a sonic evolution that retains the emotional depth and intensity characteristic of the band.

Opening hours : Wednesday to Friday, 10am to 1am, and Saturday from 4pm, but also from 6pm if a concert is scheduled.

Doors open : 1 hour before the start of the concert.
