At home in Saint-Bruno

Tours can also become opportunities for encounters and connection.
The Saint-Étienne duo Terrenoire has chosen to extend its stay in Grenoble to forge lasting ties with local residents and stakeholders.

Before their concert at La Belle, the artists will settle in Saint-Bruno for several days of exchanges and creation. Together, they will imagine how music, words, and voices can tell the story of a neighborhood and the people who bring it to life.

To close the event, on Thursday, November 6, starting at 5:30 p.m., a special radio program will be recorded in front of a live audience at the Gisèle Halimi Library with New's FM.

On the program:
  • Feedback from writing workshops led by Terrenoire with residents,

  • Interviews and vox pops,

  • Disussions about life in the Saint-Bruno neighborhood, its residents, and its socio-cultural actors.

A convivial moment to celebrate collective creativity and the richness of local voices.

A proposal in partnership with New's FM, La Maison des Habitants Chorier-Berriat, the Chorier-Berriat Social Center, Cap Berriat, Média major, and the Gisèle Halimi Library.

Terrenoire

With protégé.e, their new album, the two brothers from Terrenoire map out, in 14 tracks, a world of incandescence and shadows, where concern for the other reigns. For six years, the Terrenoires have been working their music like a sensitive, eruptive earth, made of electronic and organic textures, lyrics like clues, both direct and subtle, and melodies that haunt for a long time. It's a music of today, popular and demanding, where different musical genres intertwine. Chords soar, ritornellos settle, machines converse with stringed instruments. Above it all, a voice seems to look us in the eye.

Les Forces Contraires, Théo and Raphaël Herrerias' debut album (Black Paradiso label, 2020), revealed them to the French public. Crowned Revelations of the Year at the 2022 Victoires de la Musique awards, and after a 120-date tour, they organized their own festival in 2023, in Terrenoire, the working-class district of Saint-Etienne where they grew up, and with which dialogue remains vital.
Today, they're revisiting the idea of touring, discovering territory by territory: a lively, rich tour that draws a singular cartography, a new way of forging links on the road, taking the time to meet people, taking the time to set up gestures of transmission, gestures of encounters, a new way of orienting our bodies and redefining the desire lines of touring.
Slow down to take the time to discover a territory.
