Born Bad Records
Born Bad Records is much more than just rock, indie, pop, or underground music. It’s difficult — if not impossible — to pigeonhole the label’s vinyl releases into a single category. Born Bad Records embraces a deeply alternative identity, as evidenced by the diversity of its artists: from Cheveu’s blues to Frustration’s post-punk, from Bryan’s Magic Tears’ shoegaze to La Femme’s rock, not to mention Arthur Satàn’s garage rock and Zombie Zombie’s krautrock. And these are just a few examples from a catalog that now includes more than 200 albums.

Frustration
Frustration has just celebrated its 20th anniversary, and already the band is marking another major milestone: the release of its sixth album, the highly anticipated "Our Decisions".
Frustration represents the flawless journey of the wild children of French rock: from their turbulent beginnings as part of the aptly named Happy Family — the DIY rocker crew centered around the Parisian record store Born Bad — to the band’s gradual establishment in the French and European punk underground scene, from their rise to prominence at the turn of the 2010s to the band’s transformation into a true unifying force for all rock ’n’ roll tribes, the band has written one of the most beautiful chapters in French rock history and has become its most iconic figure.
The case is now clear to everyone.

Arthur Satàn
"A Journey That Never Was", Arthur Satàn’s second solo album, released on Born Bad, shows what happens when you abandon a child to his fate in a recording studio, let him grow old with only his Warhammer figurines lined up on a stack of old "Métal Hurlant" magazines for company, and put time on pause for a few decades.
And… actually, it turns out just fine : the Bordeaux-based songwriter has a whole family of imaginary friends to introduce to you.

Jessica93
Jessica93 at Born Bad — we know it’s going to end spectacularly, but let’s stay calm. Geoffroy Laporte, once again alone against everyone, performs solo perched on a drum machine with pre-war Gulf War patterns. He alternates between bass and guitar to build harsh, distorted loops, over which he softly screams. That’s where things get complicated: every clan wants him on their side. Grunge — there’s a certain vibe, sure, but Jessica isn’t a necrophiliac. Punk, certainly, but we’re talking more about the distribution circuit than about identity. Cold wave—it’s a matter of atmosphere — but he’s got neither the gear nor the seriousness. The self-assured rock horde has heard him sing with his hair in his eyes and seen him play the "gratte" rather than the guitar… but he hasn’t joined the Party. Metal had something to say, but no one listened — and they were wrong to do so.
Maybe it’s time to stop imposing our stylistic standards on it and appreciate that Jessica93 has turned her very personal recipe for "seum broth" into comfort music.
